Assign and Reassign Steps
Need to assign or reassign steps to yourself, your team, or someone else? Here's how!
Assign to me
When your team owns step(s) in the ask, you can choose to:
- Assign just this step to yourself
- Or, assign all steps for the team to yourself
After you assign the step(s) to yourself, the activity will be logged in the Activity Feed for future reference:
Reassign to someone or a team
Do you own a step that belongs to someone else? You can reassign the step to:
- An existing contact in Pipeline
- An existing team in Pipeline
- Or, a new contact. Note, Pipeline will automatically send them an invitation to log in.
Just click on the step owner's profile picture (located next to the step number) and enter the person's email or team name.
The new step owner will automatically be notified by Pipeline to complete this step. Note, you can only reassign steps that you own. If you're the flow owner, you can reassign any step in the ask.
After you reassign the step, the activity will be logged in the Activity Feed for future reference:
Note, if you reassign the step to someone else, you'll no longer have the ability complete the step or reassign the step back to you. So, make sure you're reassigning the step to the correct person!
Automate assignments using rules
Are you assigning or reassigning steps often? If so, then consider adding Rules to your flow to automate this, see Rules and Triggers solution guide.
When the rule triggers Pipeline Bot
to reassign step(s), those activities will be logged in the Activity Feed.
