Prerequisites
You will need the following before you can integrate Pipeline with GSuite/Gmail:
- Dedicated Gmail account ex:
pipeline@yourcompany.com
. Do NOT use your own GSuite/Gmail account. - Pipeline: Email Whitelabel Add-On
Create App Password
Google does not allow any 3rd-party apps to send using your GSuite/Gmail account without an App Password. Note, you must turn on 2-Step Verification before you can generate App Passwords.
To create an app password, log into your Google Account → Security → Signing in to Google → 2-Step Verification
Click App Password.

Click Generate to generate the app password.
Send the above password to our support help desk or in-app chat to integrate Pipeline with your Gmail.
Send email as another User or Group
To enable Pipeline to send emails from another email (user or group) that you own or have access to, in Gmail, go to Settings → Accounts:
- Add email you want to send as
- Uncheck Treat as an alias, because you're sending as, not receiving as
- Then, follow the instructions for verification and authorization, see Gmail documentation.

If you own another email address, you can send mail as that address. -
Sign in with App Passwords
An App Password is a 16-digit passcode that grants an app or device permission to access your Google Account when you have 2-Step Verification turned on.
