Prerequisites

You will need the following before you can integrate Pipeline with GSuite/Gmail:

  • Dedicated Gmail account ex: pipeline@yourcompany.com. Do NOT use your own GSuite/Gmail account.
  • Pipeline: Email Whitelabel Add-On

Create App Password

Google does not allow any 3rd-party apps to send using your GSuite/Gmail account without an App Password. Note, you must turn on 2-Step Verification before you can generate App Passwords.

To create an app password, log into your Google AccountSecuritySigning in to Google → 2-Step Verification 

Click App Password

  • App Mail
  • Device Other, enter Pipelineapp.io

Click Generate to generate the app password.

Send the above password to our support help desk or in-app chat to integrate Pipeline with your Gmail.

Send email as another User or Group

To enable Pipeline to send emails from another email (user or group) that you own or have access to, in Gmail, go to Settings → Accounts:

 

  1. Add email you want to send as
  2. Uncheck Treat as an alias, because you're sending as, not receiving as
  3. Then, follow the instructions for verification and authorization, see Gmail documentation
