Prerequisites

You will the following before you can integrate Pipeline with LinkedIn:

  • LinkedIn account (do not need Premium)

LinkedIn Notifications

You need to set the following in your LinkedIn Notifications. Just click the link to make the changes:

Setting Change To
Connecting with others Switch ON Allow connections related notifications
Invitations to connect Switch ON Email
  • Email Frequency: Individual

It is critical that you have these email settings, so that you'll be notified via email.

Your email auto-forwarding rules

Set up auto-forwarding rules for your LinkedIn email notifications to Pipeline:

GSuite

First, add api@emailapi.pipelineapp.io as a forwarding address for your email.

  1. Go to SettingsForwarding and POP/IMAP
  2. Click Add a forwarding Address, enter api@emailapi.pipelineapp.io
    1. You will be asked to verify your Google identity.
    2. Make sure you click Proceed
  3. You will receive an email from alert@pipelineapp.io with Google link to confirm the setup

Click Confirm to complete the setup.

Then, create the forwarding filters:

Filter (Rule) when Then, forward it to
When someone invites you to connect api@pipelineapp.io
When someone accepts your connection request api@pipelineapp.io

Be sure to click Create Filter for each filter. You will be asked to verify your Google identity each time you create the filter.

Note, the filters will only forward NEW emails. Old emails will not be forwarded.
