Delay Steps

Do you ever have steps that need to always start on a specific date?

Here's some examples:

  • Bookkeeping requests to customers always need to go out on the 3rd of every month
  • Timesheet requests always need to go out every Friday
  • Customer notifications always need to be delayed until the next Monday

With Pipeline, you can build a Delay Step into your flow that will pause the process until the date you set!

To create a delay step, just select Delay:

In the flow:

  • Under 'To do what', title what you'd like this step to do. This will display as the step name in your flow
    • Example: Delay Notification to Client
  • Under 'Delay Method' select one of the following
  • Once you select your delay method you will be able to enter the number of days, the day of the week, the date, or the formula you want the step to be held to.

Flow Owners can override the Delay step and complete it at any time if you want to move the process along!
